Cracked Wax

Cracked Wax is a specialized low-molecular-weight polyethylene wax (PE wax) derived through controlled thermal cracking of high-density polyethylene chains, engineered specifically to serve as a high-efficiency external lubricant, dispersant, and rheology modifier. In polymer compounding, masterbatch manufacturing, and PVC processing, this material significantly reduces the melt viscosity of the polymer matrix without lowering the final mechanical properties. Its balanced molecular weight distribution allows it to migrate precisely to the interface between the molten polymer and metal equipment surfaces, drastically decreasing screw friction, preventing melt adhesion, and lowering motor torque and power consumption during high-throughput compounding runs.

Cracked Wax serves as an exceptional wetting and dispersing vehicle for heavily filled thermoplastic systems, including calcium carbonate filler masterbatches, color concentrates, and talc-filled compounds. By lowering interfacial tension between inorganic pigments, minerals, and the host resin, it ensures rapid de-agglomeration and uniform additive distribution down to the sub-micron scale, eliminating surface specks, streaks, and screen-pack blockages. The wax features high thermal stability and low volatility at standard conversion temperatures, which prevents outgassing, smoke generation, and die drool while promoting high-gloss, defect-free surface finishes across rigid PVC profile extrusion, pipe manufacturing, injection molding, and hot-melt adhesive formulations.
